Position Overview
Our CFO & Accounting Services group primarily serves middle-market private equity-backed companies and founder-owned businesses that need CFO & Accounting services to scale post-acquisition, gain visibility into their business, or/and prepare for a transaction.
CFOx is looking for a winter analyst to join, support, and learn from our engagement teams. Analysts will be key members of the team, directly working on engagements. This position offers the right individuals a chance to gain relevant business experience with an opportunity to earn a full-time job offer at completion of internship. We are a young, ambitious firm, and we are excited to work with individuals who share our mindset and long-term goals.
Typical engagements include:
- Fractional or Interim CFO
- Post M&A transaction integrations and transitions
- Historical accounting clean-up
- Accounting processes, procedures, and systems implementation
- Financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
- Accounting services (i.e.: month-end close, financial statement preparation, bill pay)

Role Responsibilities
- Support CFO & Accounting Services engagements through financial analysis, modeling, diligence support, and client-facing workstreams
- Help prepare accurate, well-structured client deliverables, analyses, and reports that clearly communicate findings and recommendations
- Assist in the development, documentation, and improvement of internal processes, procedures, and templates to enhance efficiency and quality
- Continue to build technical, analytical, and client service skills while demonstrating ownership, attention to detail, and increasing independence
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field of study
- Recent graduates will also be considered
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Previous internship experience with M&A transactions, financial reporting, or corporate finance preferredÂ
Pay Range
- Competitive hourly compensation based on experience
