Senior Associate
CFO & Accounting Services – Boston, MA
CFOx is seeking a Senior Associate to join its growing team. This on-site position will be located in our Boston, MA office and will support the firm’s CFO & Accounting Services practices.
The Senior Associate will work closely with our Directors, Vice Presidents, and Associates to provide strategic financial insights, drive operational improvements, and support our client’s growth initiatives. This role requires an understanding of private equity environments, strong accounting & financial acumen, and exceptional leadership skills.

CFOx is an advisory firm that specializes in CFO, Transaction, and Accounting Services. We have offices in Detroit, Denver, and Boston.
Our CFO & Accounting Services practice primarily serves private equity-backed and founder-owned businesses that need additional capabilities to scale and gain visibility into their business.
Typical engagements include:
- Fractional or Interim CFO
- Post M&A transaction integrations and transitions
- Historical accounting clean-up
- Accounting processes, procedures, and systems implementation
- Financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
- Accounting services (i.e.: month-end close, financial statement preparation, bill pay)
Role Responsibilities
- Support and execute CFO & Accounting Services client engagements
- Prepare client deliverables, analyses, and reports
- Improve and implement internal processes, procedures, and templates for the firm
- Active involvement in the firm’s business development efforts
- Active participation in company operations and strategy discussions
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of public accounting or/and corporate finance experience
- CPA license is preferred
- Previous audit experience is preferred
Pay Range
- Base Compensation: $90,000/year to $110,000/year
- Bonus: Discretionary
- Sales Commission Eligible
