CFOx is excited to welcome Erik Rust to our Transaction Services practice as Vice President in Detroit.  

Erik Rust brings over eight years of experience in transaction and assurance services with a focus on public companies, middle-market businesses, and private equity investors. Erik has worked extensively across the industrials and manufacturing, construction services, consumer products, retail, and transportation and logistics industries.

In his current role with CFOx, Erik is responsible for managing and executing buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence (QoE) engagements for private equity funds, their portfolio companies, and strategic acquirers.

Prior to joining CFOx, Erik spent five years with RSM US LLP in their Transaction Advisory Services, Financial Due Diligence (FDD) group, where he managed and supported transactions for public and privately owned companies of all sizes across various industries. Before RSM, Erik spent three years with KPMG in their Assurance group, servicing both public and private clients.

Erik earned both his M.S. and B.S. in Accounting from Michigan State University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Michigan and State of California.

Outside of his professional life, Erik enjoys playing golf, hockey, and lacrosse, as well as cooking, skiing, and spending time with family. He’s also passionate about cheering on his favorite sports teams.
