CFOx recently partnered with a regional railroad operating in the Midwest. The company was preparing for a sale process and needed a team to clean up its books and provide ongoing monthly accounting services.

The CFOx Accounting Services team supported the internal controller through due diligence and audit support as well as the month end close process by preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and recording cash-to-accrual journal entries in accordance with GAAP. The team also conducted general ledger walkthroughs as needed.

In addition, CFOx developed monthly financial reports, pro formas, and other analyses for both internal use and the transaction process. The team continued to manage month-end close through the successful completion of the transaction.
